PORCELAIN WAVES

Ceramic slip casting is an ideal method for producing multiples of a complex shape, and I'm also looking at a juxtaposition of material and subject matter: a wave is never static, always moving and changing, while a ceramic object is solid by nature, non-fluid, long-lasting, and yet fragile. The waves are each separate objects, but endlessly rearrangeable as a group to accommodate many spaces and create indoor oceans of varying dimensions - stacked on a shelf, placed on the floor, ect.  The wave figurines are models for potential larger sculptures, and pieces in their own right.
